PSAT/SAT TESTING

PREPARING YOUR STUDENTS
Khan Academy Official Digital SAT Prep:

Through a direct partnership with College Board, Khan Academy® allows students to gain access to a number of resources, including thousands of practice questions, videos, lessons, helpful hints, and valuable test-taking tips and strategies. Every section of the digital SAT is expertly crafted by Khan Academy’s team of math, reading, and writing experts. (Since the format of the PSAT and SAT are the same, this resource can be used for all levels.)

Share this link with students: khanacademy.org/SAT.

For practice tests on Bluebook:
1. Students 13 and over with a College Board account can download Bluebook to their personal devices and take practice tests in Bluebook. If your school is testing using school-managed devices, ensure students are aware they’ll be logging in on a school-managed device on test day. Practicing in Bluebook allows students to familiarize themselves with the tools and features they’ll encounter on test day. Performance feedback is instant, offering insights into correct and incorrect answers. Share this link with students: satsuite.collegeboard.org/digital/digital-practice-preparation/practice-tests/bluebook.

2. Students under the age of 13 or those without a College Board account will be able to access Bluebook practice tests using the sign-in tickets that the test coordinator or proctor provides to them in mid- to late-March.

3. Additionally, students can practice with full-length paper practice tests

Let’s Partner TOGETHER- Attendance Matters!

We enjoy having your student at Saline High School- trimester 1 and 2 have been great! Student attendance always matters, but let’s make the final Trimester of 2023-2024 school year the best yet! When looking at recent academic data, our belief that a strong relationship exists between absences and grades was confirmed: in some instances, absences directly relate to lower grades, whether they are excused or unexcused. Our goal is for every student to have at least 90% attendance. Your student can achieve this by missing no more than 7 absences per class each trimester.

We understand that life gets busy and students need to be absent for various reasons, but we ask that every attempt is made for your student to miss school as little as possible. When school attendance is made a priority, your child gets better grades, develops positive life habits, and have a better chance of graduating from high school ready to be successful in college, career, and life.
